One of the problems we see at Nagler Foot Center is that some people are too embarrassed to show their feet, even to the doctor. There is one patient I recall who never went barefoot, because growing up, feet were treated as “private parts”, never to be shown. This is cultural for some, just squeamishness for others. This should never happen.
There are people who look at a toenail that is starting to change in appearance, but they don’t come in because they are embarrassed, and the next year it could be worse.
Bunions and hammertoes start out mild, but if left untreated, could end up very painful.
Of course, that change won’t happen overnight, but the time to start treatment is when it is very mild.
We would rather see an ingrown toenail at an early stage rather than wait until it gets very painful and very hard to treat.
NO MORE TOE FUNGUS
Introducing Laser Nail Treatments by Pin Pointe Foot Laser
How does the laser work?
This patented laser is specially designed to shine through your toenail and destroy the specific pathogens embedded in and under your nail causing the infection. We have successfully treated the nail infection problems of several patients at our clinic in Houston. The FootLaser operates in the very tight spectrum of near infrared light on your toe. Unlike CO2 lasers of the past, this laser safely destroys the fungi, molds and bacteria that often cause onychomycosis.
Is this laser painful?
The gentle laser light beam has no effect on healthy tissue. There is no discomfort associated with the treatment during or after. This treatment does not harm or affect your activity in any way.
So,just know that as bad as you think your foot looks, we’ve seen worse!! Please schedule an appointment with Houston’s Foot Doc Sherman Nagler today.
